Gotye ft. Kimbra - Somebody That I Used To Know

Single yang diambil dari album terbarunya Making Mirrors (2011) berhasil menemani telinga dan pikiran saya akhir-akhir ini. Banyak yang sering membandingkan suara Gotye dengan Sting. Lucunya, belum ada yang berhasil meng-cover lagu ini sehingga terdengar lebih baik daripada aslinya. Gotye dan Kimbra memang punya sentuhan sendiri dalam lagu ini. Video klip-nya juga terlihat unik dengan konsep artistik yang berhasil membuat orang lain merasa wajib menyimak. Gotye is somebody that we need to know.

Can’t get enough with Miss. Zooey, aren’t we? :)

White Shoes & The Couples Company - Kisah Dari Selatan Jakarta

Lagu yang jazzy dan sangat “kalem” ini dibungkus dengan video klip berkonsep simple tapi penuh makna. Sekelompok teman yang sedang bersantai sambil menonton live muic dari band beranggotakan lima orang dengan sepatu putihnya. White Shoes sukses menambah deretan video mereka yang selalu bisa membuat penonton tersenyum-senyum sendiri.

The Horrors - Still Life

Brings back the joyful memory of post punk. Cukup mengingatkan pada band-band legendaris seperti Joy Division, Interpol, Bauhaus, The Chameleons, etc. This, by far, is my favorite song from their new album, Skying (2011). Oliver Murray juga berhasil membuat video klip yang penuh konsep ini menjadi unforgettable.

Obsesi saat ini: menjadi stalker sejatinya Alex Turner. Salahkan si iTunes yang memutarkan lagu-lagu Arctic Monkeys tanpa henti. Alex Turner sukses membuat saya menjadi “anak remaja” yang “berpijar”.
